[19:37] *** The "birds" seem to be...wow, they're actually very small aircraft! They're about the size of a large bird...maybe five-foot wingspan. On closer examination they look like micronized subsonic jet aircraft.

[19:41] * G11 has dove to the ground and covered herself with dirt, rocks, and whatever else is on hand to conceal herself.

[19:47] *** There's about a dozen or so of the tiny aircraft circling around overhead. They seem to be in very organized flight patterns, like they're patrolling.

[19:27] * Daxter slams a fist onto a red button within the HUD, and the Phalanx CIWS system comes online with six turrets in all: 2 on the aft deck, 2 at mid-deck, and 2 at the fore deck
[19:28] *** The drone squadron attacks! Sharp "sssss-SNAP" sounds of beam-lasers burning through the air and the sharp booms of missiles striking their targets start to ring out. You're already in range!

[19:51] *** The Sea-Dolls are getting closer. The strange one launching MORE of those aerial drones from the two oversized modules that are the side arms of her rigging. Is she some kind of "Carrier" variant?!

[20:04] * Weser launches MORE of her drones while Z20 and Z36 accelerate ahead of her!

[20:05] * Z20 looks downright KIT-LIKE with her eager expression. >:3
[20:07] * Z36 looks just as devilish as she arms her cannons and launchers. >:d
[20:10] * Z36 and Z20 start firing at the Queen's Bounty, letting loose with higher-caliber gauss cannons and low-powered particle beams! Their launchers flare and both of them fire a volley of surface-to-surface missiles!

[20:11] *** Weser's drones disperse into several smaller groups and fly in different directions. It looks like she's planning to attack from several directions at once!

[20:13] * HK416 and G11 start blasting away as best they can with aimed shots. The Sea-Dolls are still very far out from the shore, so they're at long range.
[20:13] * Capt. David O`Cain and the Moon Kingdom ground force open up a hail of gunfire at Z20 and Z36 while the CISW system act as anti-air and anti-missile (as designed)
[20:14] * The Marine squads bring four cannons to bear on the port side, and start firing airburst shells at the Sea-Dolls
[20:15] * Donovan O`Cain and Michelle are 98% complete on the mod install
[20:20] *** Z20 and Z36 are engulfed by explosions of shrapnel that flare BRIGHTLY against their shields!!

[20:25] *** Z20's and Z36's conversion shields are flashing in epilepsy-inducing intensity as they struggle to absorb the sheer volume of fire being leveled at them!
[20:25] *** Gauss rounds SMASH into the Queen's Bounty, each shot impacting with the force of a 40mm autocannon round!
[20:27] *** Several of the missiles are shot down by the CIWS, but one strikes home and impacts HARD at supersonic velocity, its depleted uranium prow impacting with full force! It's a kinetic-kill missile!

[20:32] * Capt. David O`Cain takes the M372A3 Heavy Storm Bolter from his cousins, and attaches a Wild West coffin looking pack onto his back while Donovan and Michelle fire blaster shots at the Sea-Dolls
[20:38] *** Weser's drones start attacking from FOUR different directions: three sides AND from directly above!!
[20:40] * Capt. David O`Cain carefully aims the Heavy Storm at the Destroyers as the Phalanx turrets rapidly fire at the drones, and the Marines continue their cannon barrage
[20:41] *** The drones coming from the sides are fired up, but just HOW HIGH can the Phalanx cannon's mountings allow their barrels of angle upwards?
[20:44] * Phalanx CIWS turrets can elevate upward as much as 80 degrees vertical
[20:45] * Capt. David O`Cain fires the Heavy Storm at the Destroyers while the Rangers continue their pressuring firepower
[20:49] *** The Phalanxs are having a hard time targeting because those overheard drones are coming in at a direct 90-degree angle! DIVE BOMBERS!
[20:49] * Megan O`Cain lies down on her back, and starts firing upwards at the drones attacking the Queen's Bounty
[20:50] *** Meanwhile, the rest of the drones are getting shredded, but they're still managing to get off some last shots and rake cutting-lasers across their targets, slicing into several people and T-Dolls before they're destroyed!
[20:50] * Z20 yelps as her shields fail and she takes several hits that punch into her slender body and rigging!

[20:53] * Capt. David O`Cain stands up as his metallic armor bulks up a bit while the exposed areas take on a more scaly appearance akin to Dragon Skin body armor, and converts the M372A3 into hipfire mode
[20:53] * Z36 moves in closer to support her, laying down a constant barrage of particle cannon and HE missile fire!
[20:55] * Capt. David O`Cain presses a button to cause a trio of barrels to spin up like a minigun, and then pulls the trigger to fire rounds at a faster rate than it would in shoulder fire mode, aiming to shoot down the Destroyers
[20:59] * Z36 concentrates her fire on the heavy armor trooper that is David!
[21:00] *** Z20 takes another hit that blows off one of the weapon arms of her rigging!
[21:01] *** All of Weser's remaining drones break off their attack on the HMS Queen's Bounty and concentrate their fire on David! But not before firing a volley of kinetic-kill missiles at the ship.
[21:03] * Capt. David O`Cain brings up his armor's spherical barrier for additional protection as he keeps on firing while the Rangers, the Marines manning the cannons, and his kin all keep up their firing at the Sea-Dolls
[21:07] *** Z36's shields fail and she takes several hits that not only cut up her body quite badly, but tear BOTH of her main weapon arms off of her Rigging.

[20:07] *** Suddenly there's a MASSIVE FLASH high up in the atmosphere as something blows a hole through the planetary shield again!!

[20:09] *** What you're all seeing is a live shot of what's happening in orbit! The Hellesponte has been knocked backwards by the force of her Macrobeamer's firing, and you can see another voidship rapidly approaching the hole in the shields.
[20:11] *** The ship is moving at a fast clip and its trajectory is practically skimming the surface of the shield. Its course will take it THROUGH the breach in the shield, but it's at a very shallow angle...likely because the shields are very close to the upper atmosphere; any ship trying to fly through the hole directly would be taking a nose-dive into the atmosphere.
[20:12] *** The shield breach isn't all that large either, only a little over a kilometer across, and it will start regenerating in less than a minute.

[19:23] * Beneath the waters, the Descos are slowly, silently positioning themselves, readying to disrupt the shipgirls' attack on the aerial forces.....

[19:35] *** Descos, you notice that someone ELSE was down at the sea-bed during all this. It's the Armored One!
[19:36] * Megan O`Cain is still keeping the MKN in the know about what's going on at Base Island
[19:38] * Another Desco, codenamed Anima-22, does her best to keep an eye on the Armored One, and hopefully get a more solid lock on them.
[19:38] * The two-dozen Descos convene, planning....
[19:39] * The Armored One lowers their weapons and starts to trudge across the sea-bed.
[19:39] * Anima-22 quickly enacts her plan to get a more solid lock on the Armored One, and may try to follow in "stealth mode".
[19:40] * The Armored One is heading westward on a steady course. Looks like they're trying to move quickly too, because they're firing underwater jump-jets periodically to clear undersea obstructions and maintain a rapid pace. They're still using that sonar-masking system too.
[19:41] * The Armored One disappears down into a crater. Wait, they went into this particular crater before too, but you didn't investigate it further. There must be something more to it.
[19:45] *** Investigate more closely?
[19:47] * Anima-22 decides to do so, but has two other Descos come with her as an in-case measure.
[19:48] *** At the bottom of the crater is a fissure that leads into the tunnel network below the sea-bed of this region!! Lush, abundant sea-plants disguised the opening from a distance!
[19:50] *** The fissure drops downwards for several fathoms, then opens up into a small cave that's more of a wide spot where two tunnels meet. Both lead away and downward into darkness, faintly lit by points of light generated by some of the strange plant-life of this alien sea.
[19:51] * Anima-22 and the two other Descos cautiously enter to investigate. They keep an open link to the others.
[19:53] *** Which tunnel do you take? Or split up and take both to begin exploring this previously unknown area?
[19:59] * The Armored One took one of the tunnels. Look for any trace of their passing?
[20:00] * Anima-22 first looks for any traces. If there are none, they will split up.
[20:09] *** YOu manage to find a trace in the form of an old, damaged light-lamp further down one of the tunnels. It's not functioning, but it certainly wasn't put there by accident.
[20:11] * Anima-22 goes to investigate this tunnel.
[20:14] *** There's definitely a faint trail leading down this particular tunnel!
[20:14] * Anima-22 swims down the tunnel.
[20:17] *** The tunnel twists and turns, branching off a few times but you manage to keep to the trail, where it eventually leads you through a wide area lined with strange pod-like plants that line the walls in close, organized rows and glow with a pale green light...until you get too close then they ALL simultaneously change to lavender in color!
[20:20] *** And beyond the open area it widens out into a large cavern that stretches out and down into murky darkness.
[20:26] *** Something's odd about this cavern. You can feel currents of very hot water rising up and circulating, but there's also a very strange "taste" to the water. Like there's something extremely ALIEN that swam through here not so long ago.
[20:28] * Anima-22 finds this rather odd.... and so sends this info to the other Descos. She decides to press further.
[20:30] *** There doesn't seem to be any other tunnels above you. Looking DOWN however!!
[20:31] *** THERE IS A SQUARISH, ROUNDED-EDGED HABITATION MODULE BUILT ATOP A PROMENTORY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAVERN! AROUND IT, THE TRENCHES DESCEND FURTHER!
[20:32] *** It's old-looking, but undamaged! This HAS to be significant! There's a docking module extending outward from one side of the habitat module. Investigate further?
[20:44] * Anima-22 does so, keeping tabs with the other Descos.
[20:49] *** The docking module is open on the bottom, so all you'd need to do is to go underneath and surface inside of it. It's kind of dark inside though.
[20:52] * Anima-22 prepares to head in, activating her low-light optics.
[21:00] *** Inside the docking module, you surface inside a room half-filled with water. The armor, now empty, is suspended over the water by clamps and rigging, with retractable gantries leading up to it that were extended out from a balcony ringing the room. No one seems to be here though, but you see a passage leading further inward.
[21:14] <Anima-22> (Curious...)
[21:15] * Anima-22 sends this info back to the other Descos, then ventures closer to the other passage. She dials up her low-light optics a bit more. What other details might she find?
[21:18] *** The passage is darkened and terminates at a pressure hatch that's closed, but not locked.
[21:19] * Anima-22 looks at this pressure hatch for clues. Might it have a window or some text?
[21:20] *** No windows or text, other than a few warnings to "stay clear" of the direction the door would pivot on its hinges when opened.
[21:23] * Anima-22 checks the door for how to open it. She'll try to slowly open it up, so as not to draw too much attention.
[21:24] *** The door is designed to be pulled towards you after you pull on the handle-latch and twist it.
[21:28] * Anima-22 goes to open the door. Hopefully it won't be too rusty...
[21:30] *** The door opens very smoothly on well-maintained hinges! Suddenly, a hand grabs onto Anima-22's arm with incredible speed and YANKS her through the doorway, then HURLS her to the floor!! Whoever it is, they're stronger and faster than any normal Human could possibly be!!!
[21:31] *** Lights suddenly turn on and there's the numerous clacking of weapons being armed and charged!! Several defenders hurry up close and take aim!
[21:33] * Anima-22 quickly does a tumble to land on their feet, and then takes immediate assessment of who all is in the room.
[21:34] *** You're sensing...Humans! There's at least a dozen nearby, all aiming Imperial lasguns at you, many of which have bayonets fixed too. But...not a single one of these boys and girls looks like they're older than 16 at the most!
[21:36] *** And standing nearby is...holy crap! It's a short, slender girl who looks like she's MAYBE 12 or 13 with how she looks, but her expression conveys someone who's much older. Her coppery hair is down past her waist, her skin is the color of dark caramel, and her eyes are an odd shade of red. Wait...
[21:37] <Anima-22> ???
[21:37] *** She looks like a "smol" version of Sailor Lead Crow, but she's wearing not much more than a one-piece swimsuit and she looks like she's only about 55 inches tall.
[21:38] *** She approaches closer, moving with a very strange smoothness and efficiency of movement you don't normally see in anything ORGANIC.
[21:39] * Anima-22 blinks, not having any relevant data on this "Lead Crow". However, she does keep wary of this new character.
[21:40] *** Her eyes fix on you, the pupils constricting and focusing, and you can just make out a faint glow coming from them. Then it hits you...THIS GIRL IS NOT AN ORGANIC!

[19:50] <Chibi-Leady> As for things in the ocean, we learned a lot about the critters swimming around. Never heard of any Emperor of the Sea, but the oceans DID used to be pretty deadly due to a nasty bacteria in it. That changed as of a couple of years ago.
[19:51] <Chibi-Leady> And who IS the name of the current leader of this Federation?
[19:51] * Megan O`Cain and the rest of the landing party are making final preparations on Base Island

[20:04] <Chibi-Leady> Leona Morimoto. I remember her. That girl was so hard-up about "dealing with" Solarchos I swear she must have been secretly yandere for him.
[20:05] <Chibi-Leady> As for that disease...the less I have to hear about it, the better. Me and it don't have a good relationship.
[20:05] <Anima-22> Well, with the birth of the Sea Emperor's children, the disease is long since a thing of the past.
[20:06] <Chibi-Leady> Good. That means I'll be able to take less stringent measures in keeping these kids uncontaminated.
[20:07] <Chibi-Leady> These people are the sole survivors of the Alliance base here. When the final assault began there, they asked me to get the children away from there and keep them safe. That was quite a few years ago.
[20:08] <Chibi-Leady> Since then I've only lost five of them to the disease. The rest are holding up fine...and yes, I punch each and every one of them that dares to call me "Mommy Leady".

[20:17] <Chibi-Leady> You're not going to get them to stick around. At least not until they all band together to launch a full-scale attack. Then you're going to have TOO MUCH information to deal with.
[20:18] <Anima-22> ...well, considering the incoming aerial crafts, I get the feeling they may be ready to launch that attack.
[20:18] <Chibi-Leady> So you were able to track me? Or were you just exploring the heck out of these tunnels and happened to stumble on this place?
[20:20] <Anima-22> I got two other Descos checking out the other tunnels. You did also leave a slight bit of a trail.
[20:22] <Chibi-Leady> Hmmph, looks like I've gotten sloppy over the last several years. I've gotten too comfortable with the idea of evading Ironblood's sub-girls.
[20:22] <Anima-22> In fairness, we were here mostly to ensure the safety of the Sea Emperor's children, so we are something of an anomaly.
[20:26] <Chibi-Leady> So this Sea Emperor ended that water-plague? All by itself?
[20:28] <Anima-22> Not quite. It had been clinging to life for several hundred years, all to ensure its children would be born. Once they were born, they began producing enzymes that eliminated the Carae bacteria from the oceans.
[20:28] <Anima-22> Upon ensuring its children would live, the Sea Emperor finally passed on.
[20:30] <Chibi-Leady> If only that had happened a decade ago. It might have really helped around here.
[20:31] <Chibi-Leady> What else is happening topside? Ironblood's on a rampage that I haven't seen them in in years.
[20:32] <Anima-22> Originally, some people whom are friends with Mr. Langister came here via ship to check on various happenings. Unfortunately, the vessel they used wasn't quite able to survive the landing, which necessitated another trip here to extract them. As for what caused Ironblood to awaken, I am not yet certain.
[20:34] <Anima-22> However, even in our mission to assist the Sea Emperor's children, we did end up in a few skirmishes with them.
[20:35] <Anima-22> If not for that planetary shield and its interference with any broadcasts, I would have been trying to contact the others offworld for some extra information.

[21:06] <Anima-22> Well, if there is a way to finally disable that planet-wide shield, the ships could land and get the extra forces out to deal with Ironblood once and for all.
[21:07] <Chibi-Leady> And how does the Van Saar Federation feel about Alliance refugees? Amnesty or firing squads?
[21:11] <Anima-22> From what I remember, amnesty is possible. According to one report we got from the one whom asked us to come here, several T-Dolls were causing trouble in the Earth area called the "Exclusion Zone", though it appeared to have been due to a kind of nano-paste that corrupted their systems.
[21:12] <Chibi-Leady> T-Dolls? Gryffin or Sangvis Ferri?
[21:12] <Anima-22> I believe the latter, though there may have been a mix of both....
[21:13] <Anima-22> ...and on that note, communications with Sigma-3 have implied that "IronBlood" may be of similar make, albeit adjusted for naval combat.
[21:17] <Chibi-Leady> Of course they are. I know quite a bit about them.
[21:17] <Chibi-Leady> After all...there's a little bit of THEM in ME nowadays.

[19:35] * Anima-22 is curious as to what Leady means, and so enacts a close-range scan upon her.
[19:36] * Chibi-Leady has since moved to a different part of the complex, leading Anima-22 through the place. The habitat module is definitely one of the Federation's Modular Colonial Structure systems, but this place is a type that isn't normally used: a Reinforced Habitat. It's more dome-shaped with additional structural bracing, making it much stronger at the expense of internal capacity.

[19:39] *** As such, the Reinforced Habitat can resist underwater pressures quite well, but can only house about sixty people at maximum, with most of them living in double-occupancy rooms that aren't much larger than 8' by 10' ultra-efficiency bunkrooms.
[19:40] * Chibi-Leady is moving way too smoothly and precisely, and her range of motion wastes very little movements as she walks along. In fact, she doesn't stumble or bump into anything or anyone as you both walk along despite all the activity of people walking back and forth and some youngsters dashing around, trying to keep themselves occupied.
[19:45] *** ...holy crap, this girl is a T-DOLL!!! You're picking up a blending of physical design elements of Destroyer and Judge (which would explain why she's so small) AND...Dreamer?!

[19:53] * Chibi-Leady enters an office that has long since been converted into her private quarters. There's a window overlooking the trench outside (backlit by pink and purple-glowing plantlife) and scattered throughout the room are all kinds of various parts and components, all strewn around a hammock hung near the window.
[19:53] <Chibi-Leady> Now, you little sea-critter...what exactly are YOU wanting from me and mine?
[20:00] <Anima-22> Information, mostly. For one thing, what made Ironblood decide to awaken now of all times?
[20:05] <Chibi-Leady> They've always been awake to one degree or another. Just not all of them all at once. I'm not sure if they're dormant sometimes, or just focusing on other projects.
[20:06] <Chibi-Leady> I think what REALLY stirred them up was when the Carar finally died and the seas began to teem with life for the first time.
[20:06] <Chibi-Leady> When we first crash-landed, the Carar was still active. It wasn't QUITE as bad up here as it was in other parts of the world. The extreme cold inhibited it, but that only slowed it down for the most part.
[20:07] <Anima-22> That would match up with what we encountered all that time ago...
[20:08] <Chibi-Leady> When all the other marine life stopped dying off as much, I'm guessing Ironblood started detecting much more activity and felt the need to start exploring all of the changes.
[20:12] <Anima-22> Still, for them to act like this.... I can't help but wonder if the same kind of nano-paste that made the T-Dolls act up is also in use here.
[20:20] <Chibi-Leady> Then it turned out that a handful of Alliance outposts survived the Great Purge
[20:21] <Chibi-Leady> When the seas stopped being lethal poison, they tried to contact each other. And they roused Ironblood.
[20:23] <Anima-22> That would explain that.
[20:31] <Chibi-Leady> Now they're still active and alert for some reason. Probably because of the renewed interest in this world.
[20:40] <Anima-22> If only we could figure out where their main base is, so we could bring this whole situation to a conclusion.
[20:41] <Chibi-Leady> Oh I know where their command center is.
[20:42] <Chibi-Leady> I've been attacking in periodically from different locations in order to divert their attention away from here.
[20:43] <Chibi-Leady> The problem is that they know I have to scavenge from the shipwrecks, so their Sub-girls patrol there regularly. Which is why I installed that sonar-masking system.

[20:45] <Chibi-Leady> Their fleet base is located in the Iceberg Field, east of the Island and south of the entrance to Ice Station Zero. Their base is disguised as an iceberg in order to camouflage it, but it's noticeable if you know what to look for.
[20:46] <Chibi-Leady> In fact, the last time I got close to it, they were parked right next to an iceberg with the remains of an Architect satellite imbedded in it. That thing still has power too. They might be trying to tap into it.

[21:01] <Chibi-Leady> But taking out their fleet base is next to impossible. Too much armor.

[20:23] <Echo-81> Might we be able to procure a transport submarine? Turns out Leady isn't alone down there --- she's been keeping tabs on a whole bunch of survivors.
[20:24] *** There's a strange rumble that strikes the entire area. It's now especially powerful (barely 3.0 on the Richter Scale) but it goes through water and land alike.
[20:27] <Capt. David O`Cain> Hmm. The PLV is submersable. How far down does it need to go?
[20:28] * Echo-81 sends the info down to Anima-22, whom asks Leady about the depth it'll need to go to get everyone to the surface.

[20:36] * Echo-81 receives the message from Anima-22. "Hope the PLV can get down to at least 300 meters."

[20:40] * Capt. David O`Cain opens up a small vid-window and looks at information on the PLV
[20:49] <Capt. David O`Cain> Alrighty. (closes the vid-window) It can easily handle 300 meters.
[20:50] <Chibi-Leady> There's about 40 down here, too.
[20:52] <Echo-81> Hopefully it'll also hold a lot of people. There's about 40 or so people down there....... how they managed to not go stir-crazy would have to be quite the accomplishment.

[19:33] *** WHOA!!! The trench surrounding the outcrop that the Habitat module sits on drops down a few dozen meters and leads off into two different caverns. One is EXTREMELY hot due to geothermal activity and active lava vents...
[19:34] *** The other...HOO BOY. It opens into another cavern with a rift down the middle that drops down almost two hundred feet into a new biome. You can see a strange purple radiance in the distance.

[19:38] *** Further inwards, and further DOWNWARDS, the wide undersea passage opens out into a huge cavern filled with huge quartz-like crystal formations on the ceiling and floor.
[19:38] <Anima-22> Let's see.... the trench just dropped, and there's two new caverns. One's super-toasty thanks to geothermal activity and lava vents....
[19:39] <Anima-22> The other one seems to be going into a whole new biome..... large quartz-like crystals nearly everywhere....

[19:50] *** There's a keening howling sound as the massive creature glides forward through the water, sensing intruders. It's easily the size of a Sea Dragon or a full-grown Ghost Leviathan!

[19:58] * Chibi-Leady rushes down to the docking module to get her armor on. She's going out and down into the DeepDownDarkDeepDown!!!!
[20:00] * Chibi-Leady arms herself with an undersea-model gauss cannon.
[20:01] * Chibi-Leady is assuming Anima-22 is following her as she slowly but steadily stomps forward, dropping down into the shallow trench, then jog-stomping towards the passage that leads towards the Crystal Caves.
[20:01] * Anima-22 is indeed following. Echo-81 should already have the coordinates to get the PLV down to help the others get to the surface.
[20:03] * Capt. David O`Cain is coordinating the last of the supplies being loaded into the PLV for transport
[20:03] *** The Shadow Leviathan roar-squeals again as it continues to swim closer to the Descos This thing is easily about two hundred feet long if not longer. It's segmented body looks like it could withstand a huge amount of impacts before cracking, the blue glow of its underbody ribs (teeth?) is mesmerizing, but those EYES are also hypnotic in how alien they look.
[20:05] * The Descos remain still, hopefully to not draw its aggression.
[20:05] <Chibi-Leady> That area is extremely dangerous. Even we never got a chance to fully explore it, and we tried.
[20:08] * Chibi-Leady keeps stomping forward. WOW, the drop down into the chasm is pretty exhilarating, but it's the wandering forward and seeing the passage widen out into a huge, multi-tiered crystal-lit mega-cave big enough to house an entire football stadium with room to spare that REALLY makes you feel tiny and uneasy.
[20:08] * Capt. David O`Cain sends the PLV to the underwater base along with a fireteam of Rangers and another fireteam of Marines
[20:09] <Anima-22> My word.... these crystals are rather fascinating.
[20:15] * The PLV submerges after it moves away from the shoreline of Base Island, and makes its way to the underwater base
[20:18] <Chibi-Leady> I think they're made of some variation of sapphire. That's why they look the color they do.
[20:20] <Anima-22> I bet there'd be a lot of people who'd love to study this stuff.
[20:20] *** The Shadow Leviathan surges past the Descos, displacing enough water in the process to shove them all back quite a distance. They were too small to really attract its attention for more than a moment.
[20:21] * The Descos are shoved back thanks to the water displacement, but decide to call this a victory. What all might they find down here, as long as big and ugly doesn't come sniffing around?
[20:22] <Chibi-Leady> Actually, there is some important minerals down here: kyanite.

We never got a chance to risk exploring them before Ironblood went into full-throttle Skynet mode, but there's apparently ANOTHER cavern below this one, and that leads to something even more important - some kind of high-value Architect facility.
[20:41] <Chibi-Leady> The path that leads to the second cavern goes through something called the "Crystal Castle".
[20:41] <Anima-22> Hm. Wonder what might be inside...
[20:46] <Chibi-Leady> I don't know, but that's where the surge came from?
[20:49] <Anima-22> Seems possible. Could something down here have suddenly activated?

[20:04] * The PLV opens up the hatch, and out steps onto the ramp are four Rangers and four Marines from the Moon Kingdom
[20:07] *** The children just look at them all quietly, not speaking and barely moving. It seems more like they're expecting you to say or do something.
[20:07] * Ranger Team 5 Leader (female) looks at the people waiting at the entrance, and calmly greets, "'Sup?"
[20:08] *** Or perhaps they were expecting some massive people dressed in huge dark grey Corvus-pattern power armor with two fin-like comm arrays on the helmets to enter.
[20:09] * The oldest child, a boy who looks like he can't be more than 14 or 15, takes a tentative step forward. "Are you...Van Saar?"

Energy surges are still radiating outwards, and Architect tech is still reacting to it, reaching a state of low power all over the continent.
[21:41] * Anima-22 and the other Descos are trying to run some scans to help figure out what is going on. This whole situation is getting a little weird, to say the least.

[19:18] * Kagerou Imaizumi HOWLS in TERROR as she tries to work the controls of the submarine like it's some kind of fighter jet! A huge THUD rocks the ship, and a loud, keening howl rings out from nearby.
[19:21] *** The submarine is knocked sideways by the impact, but manages to keep speeding forward as it dives further downwards into an alien environment of strange deep red crystal formations that grow out of the walls, floor, and ceiling like strange pillars. The angles and straight lines of the crystal outcrops don't look entirely natural.

[19:37] * Kagerou Imaizumi pushes the submarine to the maximum and keeps diving deeper and deeper, weaving back and forth through the strange crystal formations, in a desperate attempt to get to her destination.
[19:37] *** The hull starts creaking loudly.
[19:37] *** It starts creaking MORE, and there's a weird POP as the structure starts to give.
[19:39] * Kagerou Imaizumi sees a green glow in the distance! She drives the submarine as fast as it can go and RAMS it through a wide doorway protected by a flickering green forcefield, coming to a shuddering halt that sends both her and LM-101 flying!
[19:43] * Kagerou Imaizumi slowly gets up. The creaking has stopped, but the submarine is no longer in the water. It's now grounded inside a large, long hall of dark burnished metal and green lights.
[19:43] <Kagerou Imaizumi> ...Finally. We're here.
[19:43] <Kagerou Imaizumi> We're almost done.
[19:45] * Kagerou Imaizumi looks around, finding a strange series of machines and controls nearby, as well as a raised platform further ahead that holds a large tank of some kind of liquid.
[19:45] <Kagerou Imaizumi> LM-101...let's get started. You begin getting all of the component parts out. I'll get the power on.
[19:48] * Kagerou Imaizumi gets an ion cube from one of the storage lockers and carries it outside into the cold, sterile hall. She walks up to a small dais that opens on the top as she approaches. Holding out the strange green cubic crystal, it's pulled into the plinth by an unseen force, held aloft for a second or two, then the aperture closes. A hum starts to sound out, and the dim lights grow brighter as power levels begin to rise.
[19:52] *** LM-101 has begun taking out the pieces of Architect biology and brought them over to three control panels, each of which incorporates a large holding tank into which she starts putting in the pieces.
[19:52] <LM-101> Skeletal sample prepared.
[19:53] <LM-101> Internal organ samples prepared.
[19:53] <LM-101> Exterior skin samples prepared.
[19:55] * Kagerou Imaizumi is panting and shaking a little as she looks at the larger tank on the platform. The liquid inside has begun to swirl and move on its own, and is now becoming cloudy as streams of dark particulates start to flow into it.
[19:56] <Kagerou Imaizumi> Start the Fabricator as soon as it's ready.
[19:57] *** As the last sample is inserted, the system begins automatically. Nanoscanners analyze all of the samples and quickly determine the design the system will be creating.
[19:59] *** Over the next couple of minutes a large, strange figure starts to slowly materialize and grow INSIDE the tank, assembling bit by bit, cell by cell, by millions of nanites.

[20:03] *** At first nothing happens, then a bright green light suddenly shines out of the face of the thing and into Kagerou's. She cries out in growing pain as she's held fast, unable to move now!

[20:07] *** The strange creature stomps one of its hind legs experimentally, then stretches and moves its arms.

[20:11] * Al-An moves closer to Kagerou. It reaches down with one of its mecha-dendrites and hoists her up into the air, holding her aloft with an unseen force.

[20:17] * Al-An has since continued past Kagerou and gives LM-101 a quick, almost dismissive glance, then continues to one of the other nearby control consoles. It latches a couple of its mecha-dendrites to the machinery and begins accessing the long-dormant systems.
[20:19] <Al-An> ♦ Other tasks remain to be completed in order for me to reactivate our Network. I still have need of you, Kagerou.
[20:20] <Al-An> ♦ Their voices are all silent, but I still sense faint echoes of them.
[20:21] * Al-An continues to work at the console. Suddenly, a HUGE power surge goes through the entire Fabricator facility, and an equally massive wave of gravitons and electro-magnetic energy shoots outwards throughout the caves and beyond, even reaching the surface of the sea AND the island!

The nanopaste starts attempting to interface with the alien technology. Only crude interfaces will be possible in so little time, but it should be enough for the time being.

The few moving parts are knocked out of alignment, but that'll only delay firing until the maintenance bots can effect repairs in an hour or so.

[21:13] * Durand aims his larger pincer towards the ship-girls..... and holy mother of Baal he just launched a nasty sphere of plasma at them!
[21:14] * The T-Dolls are busy getting all non-combatants, including all "Fluffy Support Personnel" into the caves!!

[21:17] * Peter Strasser slows down and prepares to launch HUNDREDS of drones! She's a Carrier!!!
[21:17] * Waser joins in as well, having learned much from her previous encounter with everyone.
[21:18] * Donovan O`Cain leads Pack 36 towards the Sea-Dolls at Mach 1 as well as a few other Packs in an effort to harrass Eisenblut
[21:18] * Graf Zeppelin adds her own drone complement. Several HUNDRED weapon-drones take to the sky and begin firing on everything!
[21:19] * Z1 turns her head and sees something coming towards her.
[21:19] * Naoto changes out one of her arms for a heavy-unit rocket launcher, and fires at the enemy!
[21:19] <Z1> Huh? What's that?
[21:19] *** And a little music for our viewers.
[21:20] * Z1 gets BLASTED by the plasma ball!! Or rather, she gets blown over when Darand's attack strikes something a short distance away from Z1!
[21:22] *** Durand's attack impacted and detonated HARD against the rig-arms of one Sea-Doll in particular, and those rig-arms are both mounting overlapping shield emitters!

[21:24] * Donovan O`Cain fires .50 caliber tungsten rounds and 40mm rockets at the Sea-Dolls as do other Airwolf helos
[21:24] * Bismarck holds aloft the standard of Ironblood for a moment to draw the eye, and then levels it in the direction of Durand so fast that it makes a loud CRACK from the small-scale sonic boom!

[21:25] * Durand has only a moment to use his larger pincer to block the shot! He ends up being sent skidding quite a ways from the shot!
[21:26] * Capt. David O`Cain and Megan activate their Delta Cannons, and fire rapid blasts at the Eisenblut Sea-Dolls
[21:26] * Bismarck had fired a full synchronized salvo from her gauss cannons at Durand. "Ich werde derjenige sein, der dich tötet, dämon!!"
[21:28] *** The destroyer Dolls are all scattering, no longer advancing in a straight line, but breaking up into trios, pairs, and even singles in order to become a swarm of small, fast, and highly maneuverable targets.
[21:28] * Durand is quickly having to adjust to Bismarck's furious assault, though those with a keen eye would begin to notice he is adjusting rather quickly.
[21:29] * Naoto swaps her current launcher for something a bit different. It's a rapid-fire mini-rocket launcher, but my goodness those little rockets can HURT!
[21:29] * The Queen's Bounty is firing airburst shells at Eisenblut from its cannons
[21:29] *** Their weapons, mostly consisting of small caliber gauss autocannons, missiles, and lasers, don't have much of a punch but have a HIGH rate of fire. Combined with their speed and targeting countermeasures, they're tough to pin down and keep up with a withering barrage of hits!
[21:30] <Naoto> ♦ ...it may soon be time to unleash "that"....
[21:31] *** The Cruiser-class Dolls are mixed in among the destroyers, armed with heavier weapons and more armor, they're forcing YOU to pick and choose who to prioritize - target THEM and you open yourself up to getting pummeled and Bullied by the destroyers!
[21:32] *** Focus on the destroyer and the cruisers concentrate fire on YOU!
[21:34] *** At the same time the Battlecruisers and Battleships (with the exception of Bismarck herself) are hanging at the back, blasting the HELL out of specific targets with their heavier weaponry. Taking them out will mean having to concentrate sustained fire on them to overwhelm their shields...which would give everyone else an opening to pummel the crap out of you!
[21:35] *** And...OH F[BLEEP]KING HELL!!!
[21:35] * Naoto just grins.... "Oh daughter of mine♫" ------- wait WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?!
[21:35] *** Descos!! You've just heard a bunch of weird CRUMPS deep in the water.
[21:36] * Capt. David O`Cain points at Weser, "Charlotte, Noble Phantasm! Disable with kindness!"
[21:36] *** Followed almost immediately by intense shrill "whining" sounds similar to torpedoes.
[21:37] * The Descos quickly put their eyes to work tracking down the incoming torpedoes. Whichever ones they find, they fire eye beams to disable them!

[21:38] * Charlotte Corday walks over to Weser
[21:38] * Charlotte Corday smiles and bows to Weser
[21:39] * Charlotte Corday proceeds to stab Weser in the gut with a knife
[21:40] * Charlotte Corday just has the sweetest smile on her face
[21:40] * Hey, quick question --- does anyone remember that gigantic laser beam made of 2 million percent "F[BLEEP]K YOU" that fired earlier? Yeah, it's firing again.... at the Sea-Dolls!!!
[21:40] *** Descos...what you're seeing incoming is something completely new! The torpedoes incoming aren't the traditional cigar-shaped models. They're needle-like with extended control fins...and all of them are making a weird "howling" sound as they streak through the water at triple-digit speeds, each one partially encased in a large air bubble! Are those supercavitating torpedoes?!
[21:41] * Weser is stabbed! >_<;;
[21:41] * The Descos are pretty surprised by these new models, but the wonder can come later. First scan, then destroy ASAP.
[21:42] * Weser quickly recovers and starts BLAZING away at Charlotte with her point-defense laser cannons as she quickly reverses.
[21:42] *** The laser beam blast sends a BUNCH of Sea-Dolls flying!
[21:43] * Capt. David O`Cain quickly recalls Charlotte before she takes too much damage
[21:44] *** From out of the spray of water (and now-deceased fish) comes Charlotte's Opponent!!!

[21:44] * Meanwhile, on another island.... this creature is holding this girl upon her shoulders, acting as a gigantic turret combo.
[21:45] * Charlotte Corday is utterly unaffected by the laser fire
[21:46] * Konigsberg right now looks EXACTLY like this as she bears down on Charlotte!!
[21:47] * Konigsberg lashes at Charlotte with that riding crop!!!!

[21:49] * Konigsberg opens fire with her weapon-arms point-blank...AWW DAMN, she's mounting GATLING CANNONS for this battle!!!
[21:49] *** The supercavitating torpedoes are all targeting the Queen's Bounty.

[21:50] * Charlotte Corday smiles..as her little floating yellow...thing...floats above her head..opens it's mouth and fires a large beam of energy at Konigsberg
[21:50] * The Descos get to work trying to eliminate all the torpedos. Echo-81 is sent information about them, and quickly relays this to whomever needs to hear it the most.
[21:51] * Konigsberg is knocked aside by an impact against her shields that pushes her aside JUST in time!
[21:52] * Prinz Eugen skids right up, her maw-like weapon-covers snapping "hungrily". >:D
[21:52] <Prinz Eugen> You seem to like getting in close to your enemies! I like that!

[21:54] * Prinz Eugen and Konigsberg renew their attack against Charlotte, attacking her simultaneously! Their coordination together is almost scary to see!
[21:54] * Megan O`Cain takes a few steps towards the Eisenblut fleet, and slowly raises her hands as large droplets of water begin to rise around the Sea-Dolls
[21:54] * Charlotte Corday darts at blinding speed..every once in awhile flinging knives towards the two
[21:55] *** Desco, targeting those torpedoes is going to be tough, especially when you see that there are several other targets moving among the torpedoes at high speed too!
[21:56] *** Crap! Submarine Dolls! There are several of them riding their mounts directly behind and through the torpedo spread, using it as cover!
