[20:06] <Nelius Raoul> Most of 'em have been acting as windows into alternate timelines of Earth... but this one is a bit different, since it peered back and actively talked with us.
[20:10] <Nelius Raoul> Basically, this version of Earth got turned into a Netherworld.
[20:11] <Solarchos> How's that possible?
[20:11] <Solarchos> And are those tears at all related to a certain Border-Hag we all know?
[20:12] <Nelius Raoul> The tears are unrelated to Yukari, far as I know -- no eyes within 'em, though I'm not certain as to what exactly is causing them.
[20:12] <Nelius Raoul> I'm guessing the dimensional walls are thinning in certain areas.
[20:14] <Nelius Raoul> As for how Earth got transformed -- in that timeline, roughly 1000 years after the Silver Millennium's fall, a wandering Demon Lord found Earth, and decided "It's free real estate" and took over, flooding the planet with demonic mana and changing its inhabitants.

[20:16] <Nelius Raoul> And get this --- we've got Netherworld versions of the Senshi, to boot.

[20:17] <Nelius Raoul> First one I got to see was Usagi, and to make things quite on the nose she was reborn as a Wererabbit demon, much like Overlord Usalia of Toto Bunny.

[20:31] <Nelius Raoul> "Uh oh" is right. Something few know about Netherworld Succubi is that they can lightly glance at someone's thoughts, to take a form their target finds aesthetically pleasing --- how fitting for Serenity's body double to become a shapeshifter, huh?
[20:32] <Nelius Raoul> Apparently, when that world's version of Artemis went to go find her, it ended it what was only described to me as "an intensely embarrassing incident".

[20:33] <Nelius Raoul> I can only imagine what transpired that day... my contact didn't want to elaborate.

[20:39] <Nelius Raoul> Rei got turned into one of the Lady Samurai -- so not too much different from now, just a slight profession change. Still a crack shot with a bow, though.

[20:46] <Nelius Raoul> Place got its name due to a severe lack of natural water. To survive, the plant life there had to adapt to drinking blood from anyone who got caught on their impale-a-man sized thorns.

[20:48] <Nelius Raoul> This version of Makoto was more than a little delirious, due to her mixed bloodline. Someone way back in her ancestral tree had relations with an Alraune, and it made Makoto exceptionally attuned to the dismal state of Blood Parch.

[20:50] <Nelius Raoul> Distantly, yes, but close enough that she's able to detect plant life and even use some of it.
