[21:01] <Aika AI (QEC)> We didn't fight them either. Osmadiel ordered us to withdraw and not get involved. The Dark Angels were furious, but he stated that we "showed more wisdom than they did ages ago."
[21:02] <Megan O`Cain> I see.
[21:03] <Aika AI (QEC)> Osmadiel won the battle and contacted us afterwards. And asked us to convey a warning to the Favored Son.
[21:04] <Aika AI (QEC)> LUTHER IS ALIVE!!! The one responsible for the creation of the Fallen Angels is ALIVE!!
[21:08] <Aika AI (QEC)> When the Cicatrix erupted and the Noctis Aeterna occurred, there were a huge number of full-fledged Daemon invasions. Especially on Space Marine homeworlds.
[21:10] <Aika AI (QEC)> The Dark Angel's fortress monastery, the Rock, was also attacked by a massive Daemon force that actually managed to breach their defenses and penetrate deep into the bowels of the asteroid.
[21:13] <Megan O`Cain> S[BLEEP]t.
[21:14] <Aika AI (QEC)> They broke open one of the Dark Angel's stasis vaults and released what was contained inside.
[21:15] <Aika AI (QEC)> Inside was the most despised Fallen Angel of all. Luther himself!
[21:17] <Megan O`Cain> I see. Why was he so hated?
[21:18] <Aika AI (QEC)> The one who turned on El'Jonson during the Great Crusade over 11000 years ago. Luther and his followers were sent back to Caliban for their actions.
[21:21] <Aika AI (QEC)> When El'Jonson finally returned to Caliban after Horus was defeated, his fleet came under attack by the planetary defense grid. The Astartes that were under Luther's command had fully turned against the Primarch.
[21:22] <Megan O`Cain> Hmm.
[21:22] <Aika AI (QEC)> The Governor-Militant, as you might know, was ONE of the novitiates under Luther's command. He took part in that final battle.
[21:24] <Aika AI (QEC)> El'Jonson ordered the bombardment of the planet while he led the final assault against their fortress-monastery. It was apparently a battle every bit as destructive and bitter as the final assault on Terra by Horus.

[21:26] <Aika AI (QEC)> The "Favored Son" was one of the young novitiates forced to fight in the final defense of Caliban as it was being steadily incinerated.
[21:27] <Aika AI (QEC)> Finally, Luther and El'Jonson himself fought each other directly, and the battle was apparently so massive that it devastated the throne room of the Chapter.
[21:28] <Aika AI (QEC)> Osmadiel says he remembers seeing the Favored Son during that time, lying on the ground badly injured after being swatted aside by Lion El'Jonson, but still dragging himself forward and shooting at El'Jonson with a pistol.
[21:30] <Megan O`Cain> Sounds like an unfair fight.
[21:33] <Aika AI (QEC)> Luther struck down El'Jonson. During their exile on Caliban, Luther had fallen under the influence of the Chaos Gods. He'd used those powers against El'Jonson, but then realized the mistake he'd made in dealing with the Chaos Gods in the first place.
[21:35] <Megan O`Cain> Made a deal with the Devil, did he?
[21:36] <Aika AI (QEC)> He broke his treaty with them, and the Chaos Gods retaliated by engulfing the planet in a Warp-storm that swept everyone across time and space. Caliban was destroyed, except for one large piece that held the fortress-monastery. When the Dark Angels came to investigate, they found only Luther, broken and insane, saying that one day El'Jonson would return to forgive him for the mistake he'd made.
[21:38] <Aika AI (QEC)> Luther never died! He's been alive since the 31st Millennium!
[21:40] <Megan O`Cain> Huh.
[21:43] <Aika AI (QEC)> according to Osmadiel, Luther fled the Rock and is now deep within the Imperium Nihilus and the other Fallen are amassing under his command.
[21:47] <Megan O`Cain> Is that good or bad?
