It was great! Everyone should go see it!
It's not as corny as the first trailer makes it look - it gets pretty intense in the second half
A lot of little things get explained like why Autobots and Decepticons are called what they are, and there's some neat backstory lore added to the Decepticons.

OH WOW I FINALLY GET TO DO ONE! YAY!
So excited!!
Okay let's see
Plot: It was a perfect look into the histories of Optimus and Megatron and how they got to be who they are, which is what the movie promised. It worked in a lot of the new lore that was developed since G1 and didn't stomp all over what came before either. So Optimus isn't a murdering psychopath who wants people's faces or anything. There's a lot of neat nods to series like Prime and Animated too and even deep cuts to the ways the toys work and such.
Bumblebee was hilarious and not overdone, and it really was a good good story, so it gets the full 2/2 Dragonballs
Visuals: I give this 1.5 out of two Dragonballs because while it was really good-looking and easy to follow there were times the action did seem to be too fast-paced and it was hard to keep track of the action. A little bit of a slowdown in places mighta helped. Still, it was really good!
Audio: 1 out of 2 Dragonballs - It was a good score but it just felt "there" if that makes any sense. While some people might think that's like the best way to score a movie, Transformers Movies have sorta a reputation for having great music (when they don't suck!) and this is the first animated movie in 40 years, so they could've tried a little harder to reach for the heights of the original movie (which yeah, yeah, I know, unpossibles)
Overall feeling:1 out of 1 Dragonballs - I came out of the movie satisfied and HYPE for more, which is all I could ask for! I hope that more people go to see it and they make a sequel! But even if they don't, this stands on its own as a great prequel! Oh, and the voice casting is great! You'vre got nothing to worry about.
So the overall rating is:
5.5 out of 7 Dragonballs. Go watch it!
