[23:41] <@SpeedRcrX> Oh god, this just sucks
[23:42] <@SpeedRcrX> I just found out that Jack Horkheimer, the "Star Hustler" from PBS, has passed away.
[23:43] <@SpeedRcrX> He used to do the 5-6 minute long astronomy segments between some shows on PBS, and was still doing them to this day
[23:43] <@SpeedRcrX> Here's one of the old videos he did
[23:47] <@SpeedRcrX> Back when I was a kid, that music that used to play in the background of his intro always used to haunt me (in a good way)
[23:47] <@SpeedRcrX> It was one of those surreal memories, of drowsy late nights with ethereal sounds and the man who used to walk down the rings of Saturn to show you the wonders that you could find in your own backyard's night sky.
[23:49] <@SpeedRcrX> Now that I'm all grown up, I know that that "music of the heavens" was actually Isa Tomita's "Arabesque No1", but it doesn't make the memories any less magical.
[23:50] <@SpeedRcrX> This guy was a legit piece of my childhood memories and his enthusiasm for the stars stuck with me even to today
[23:50] <@SpeedRcrX> I JUST found out he was still alive not more than a few months ago
[23:50] <@SpeedRcrX> and now he's gone
[23:50] <@SpeedRcrX> This mightily sucks
[23:50] <@SpeedRcrX> Although, it's funny, he penned his own epitaph, and it was hilarious:

[23:51] <@SpeedRcrX>: Keep Looking Up was my life's admonition, I can do little else in my present position.

[23:51] <@SpeedRcrX> heheh
[23:51] <@SpeedRcrX> I'll miss you, Jack.
