Now you might be asking yourself, "Why haven't there been many updates lately." And that answer might well properly be "X is a lazy bastard".
While this is true 99% of the time, this is not one of those times. I've been doing a bit of work on the side for my other, neglected site, Sakura Project, and it's taken a bit. Now I'm ready to share the fruits of my labour... here, not there, because I never said I made any sense (And I have to give that site a proper backend, anyway)
What I've done is, with the aid of a dodgy emulation rig, FINALLY played through and captured footage from Sakura Taisen V Episode 0, the prequel to the only officially English-translated Sakura Taisen game ever, and then I overlaid translations onto the text areas (most of them), so you can get a fuller experience of the game than any walkthrough FAQ alone can provide.
There are lots of flaws with the work I've done (audio drift, laggy music, etc.) but I'm not trying to be pitch-perfect-- I don't want to make a substitute for the real product in any case.
So anyway, I present to you, the entire youtube playlist of all 23 stages. There's not much gameplay footage in it from the battle mode because a) I'm not a gamer, and my moves suck, and b) the emulator is laggy as hell even on my hexacore, and 3) it would just be onerous to sit there watching my horrid fights for 45 minutes at a time, and iv) Youtube has me on 15 minute limits for each vid.
That being said, if you're a Sakura Taisen fan, enjoy!
<Mdm_Maestro> Have I swallowed some kind of hallucinogenic drug, or did I just hear you praising Walt Disney, the sugar-coated candy-cane diabetes in the rotted pancreas of American pop culture, for their kind treatment of fluffy little animals, whom you have in the past referred to as "scurrying, flea ridden fur coats with feet"?
