[13:01] <Mdm_Maestro> Haruka is upstairs crying her eyes out.
[13:01] <// J_Daito //> Finally got around to the honeymoon, then?
[13:02] <Mdm_Maestro> ...
[13:02] <@SpeedRcrX> Of course I'm crying my eyes out damn you

SpeedRcrX pasted:
I hope fans realize I gave them the best I could, the best I could give them-- whether there were a hundred of you, or ten thousand of you. I hope nobody ever went home feeling bad about spending the money to see Ric Flair.
[13:04] <@SpeedRcrX> HE'S RETIRED AFTER THIRTY FIVE YEARS
[13:06] <Mdm_Maestro> I see. Is this important, dear?
[13:06] <@SpeedRcrX> Important
[13:06] <@SpeedRcrX> IMPORTANT?!
[13:07] <@SpeedRcrX> The man came back from breaking his damn back in an airplane crash the year I was born to become one of the most beloved pro wrestlers EVER.
[13:07] <Mdm_Maestro> So it's not then.
[13:07] <@SpeedRcrX> ... Man Michi why do you have to be like this sometimes
[13:07] <Mdm_Maestro> I just don't see the attraction, dear.
[13:08] <// J_Daito //> So you DID just have the honeymoon.
[13:08] <@SpeedRcrX> Jed I'm going to hurt you severely in about sixty seconds if you don't shut up
[13:12] <@SpeedRcrX> I just got through making a huge post of youtube links showing some highlights of his career on my page
[13:12] <Mdm_Maestro> That's nice, dear.
[13:13] <@SpeedRcrX> You just love taking the wind out of my sails, don't you, Michi
[13:13] <Mdm_Maestro> Your "wind" is not something I like dealing with at all, dear.
[13:14] <@SpeedRcrX> Yeah well neither is your "COOKING"!
[13:14] <// J_Daito //> snap
[13:15] <Mdm_Maestro> Pardon me? I think you must be addressing someone else.
[13:15] <@SpeedRcrX> You heard me
[13:15] <@SpeedRcrX> Read me, whatever
[13:15] <Mdm_Maestro> Hmph.

Mdm_Maestro has left suburbansenshi-chat (There is no accounting for taste.)

[13:16] <@SpeedRcrX> I'm just gonna go cry in a corner for a while, Flair was like... he made me so happy and now he's done
[13:16] <// J_Daito //> I thought you were too manly to cry.
[13:17] <@SpeedRcrX> These are MANLY TEARS FOR A MANLY MAN

     SpeedRcrX is away: WHOOOOOOOOOOO

[13:18] <// J_Daito //> Heh
[13:18] <// J_Daito //> I wonder what new news there is on the "Chibi Ami" story.
[13:18] <// J_Daito //> I hear that fool Elios is going to come up with a picture of her soon.
[13:21] <// J_Daito //> So far these are the ideas that people have had concerning her appearance
[13:21] <// J_Daito //> Which one of them is closest...
[13:22] <Mizunomics01> ...

The match was a very fitting sendoff for Ric Flair and his career. I certainly hope he realizes what an impact he had on sports entertainment and the world! I agree, Dr. X, it was great to see McMahon (as much as I dislike the man for the very same reasons as yourself) treat the Ric Flair legacy with such respect. Every wrestler should dream of a career and a send off like Ric's!

No one's begrudging him the right to retire-- hell I'm *glad* he's "survived" the business when so many of the younger set have not. Back in the late 90's I used to worry he'd give himself a heart attack the way he used to cut promos in the ring-- and worried about him when he did kind of get faint one time in WCW. He'll just be missed, is all. People like that come around very rarely. But yes, he deserves to sit back and change gears at this time in his life, and I'm grateful Vince McMahon gave him an awesome sendoff. Whatever issues I might have with the way the man treats people and properties brought in from places other than WWE, he did right by Flair.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one crying after Ric Flair's last match. Keep your chin up, Haruka - he's already in the WWE Hall of Fame. Michi...be a little more sensetive! XP

35 years is a *long* time. Ric Flair's certainly earned the right to retire. Especially if he's going out on his own two feet instead of being carried out on a stretcher crippled and disabled.
